Unique Restaurant tucked away in Portal but worth finding. Food was traditional Portuguese food. The service was good and friendly. The wine by the bottle we had was local and made in traditional Clay Amphoras at €10 others at €16. We will return.

Lovely, typical food from the Alentejo and very popular. Lots of choice and some really interesting dishes. If you would like a table on a Sunday, it is a good idea to book though lots of people are willing to queue to get in. Well worth a visit.

I came here because I saw the good reviews. It is indeed as good as everyone praised. I hope the store can keep it up. The store is very large, the environment is really good, and the price is really not expensive! And the environment here is really high-level.

It is a bit out of the way (at least from Évora) but well worth the drive! The food (we had sushi, tempura and dessert) was the best Japanese food we’ve had in 6 months living in Portugal! The server was wonderful and very sweet. The restaurant was fully decorated for Christmas, even the WCs. They place a small book of poetry or such on the tables in lieu of TVs on every wall like most restaurants do.Will definitely return when we pass by this way again!

Due to having a dog with us, the table was on the terrace, which was fine apart from an extremely high number of flies. The food was good but on one plate fries were limp and soft, but o another hot and crispy.

This was the 4th or fifth time we had dinner at this restaurant. I guess that says it all. Pretty sure this is the best Italian restaurant in the region and would vie for best rated even against Italian restaurants in Lisbon.

The space is the real attraction of this restaurant. The food is good but it doesn't have an advantage over other simpler restaurants in the area. The service is competent but we can hear the waiter shouting to the kitchen to order the dishes. The bathrooms are not at the level of a guest house.

The owner of the B&B recommended a local specialty restaurant and helped us make a reservation. The restaurant is not far from where we live (Beja is small and not far from anywhere), and it takes only a few minutes to walk there. The layout of the restaurant is very unique, and the dishes served are mainly local pork. I ordered a roast pork and a codfish rice. The pork tasted like steak, and the codfish rice was very delicious. I was very satisfied with the meal, and it only cost 22 euros, which is super cost-effective.
